Weird and Wonderful | Summer Learning Journey

L.I is to solve a math Equation.
For this next activity we are going to be solving an equation. This equation connect's with plants. This is the question Let’s imagine that you are given a cactus for your birthday. To keep it alive, you must give it 3 ml of water every day. Over one full year, how much water will you need to give your cactus plant? My strategy is first count how many days there are. Then what we will do next is multiply it by 3. so 365 x 3 = 1095 ml. This is the answer I think I got.

  1. Kia ora Sulia,

Wow - great math! Can you work out how much water it would need on a leap year (when there is one more day in the year)?

    Keep up the great blogging!

    Talk soon,

    Sophie :)
