Swimming Life Jackets | Kiwi Spot

L.i to learn how to stay alive and float in life jackets.

This week Thursday was the last day of swimming lessons for this year. this was the funniest lesson because we got to wear life jackets.

After we had got into our life jackets we had warmed-up by swimming from the platform to the wall. It kinda hard because a lot of people were kicking me. after this we had got people around us to make a chain. We had did this by holding the shoulder of the other person and putting our feet on the side of them and kicking.

Next, we had got into different groups and huddled as a group. In that group we had to hold each other by the shoulder. This could help if you were cold because it'll keep you warm and if somebody is injured, that person has to be in the middle of the circle and hold them.

After this we had to try to touch the floor with the life jackets. This was hard but I had learn a trick that if you try to do a handstand with one hand you will touch the floor. After this we hand got up against the wall and did a pencil dive. When you do that you have to take a big step into the pool and then drop. Lastly we had done any type of dive in.

I have Enjoyed this Swimming lessons. I have also learn something really valuable
Heat
Escape
Lessening
Position

Rube Goldberg

L.I to make a Rube Goldberg machine with the six simple machines.
For Inquiry we were challenged to build a similar machine as Rube Goldberg. A challenge was you had to use one of the simple machines which are Incline Plane, Pulley, Screw, Wheel and Axle and a Lever. My groups challenge was to try to turn on the chromebook. Our Machine had included, Levers, Incline Plane and a screw. We had also used parts of our bodys to finish of the machine. Our machine was successfully working. The materials that we had used were Cardboard(for Incline Plane), Domino's, Pan Balance, Marbles and books.
The biggest challenges we had to face was trying to get the materials to stay up still and trying to figure out what's gonna happen next.
I think if we were to do this again I would've bought more materials and incorporated more and included others ideas.
