A fraction is a whole object that is divided into equal pieces. A fraction of a set is a whole set of object divided into equal size groups. We had folded pieces of paper into quarters and halves. What we had to do next was get beans and divide them into the squares. We had also put down the definition of fractions so that we could remember. What we did to find out the unit of a set was use division. To find the unit fraction of a set you must divide the set by the number of groups.
