Challenge 12: What we share Public & Private

L.I to learn about personal information that should be private, and personal information that can be made public.

Today I have completed the 12th activity of cyber-smart challenges. The cyber-smart challenges help us to become more smart online, and to gain more knowledge about the digital world, to keep us safe and secure.

In this activity we were required to complete a DLO, consisting of a list of personal information(public & private), which we needed to organise into two lists; Public and Private. For us to get a better understanding, I was recommended to watch a short animated video explained the difference's and why it is important. It is important to keep personal information(such as home address, full name, passwords etc) private, because of hackers out there.

In this Challenge, we were required to attempt to make a fish. To make these fish, we first needed to watch a short clip of Mr Goodwin explaining how to create these fish. In this video, Mr Goodwin explained step by step how to create these fish.

Activity 3 : Ready for Learning | Cybersmart

L.I Be cybersmart and use our devices to Learn, Create & Share.

In this activity, we were asked to create a set-up for distance learning. This was if another lock-down occurred and we needed to continue with our learning at home. The point of this, is for us to know what we are doing when joining google meets, and becoming more confident.

In this DLO, we were required to put in 5 different links. The links that were required was our class room link, school website, my class blog, my own blog and the SLJ. These links were learning links, which we can easily let us catch up with the latest learning or updates on school.

We also had to think of top tips for effective online learning - location top tips and participation top tips. If you wanna learn more about tips of joining a google meet, check out the last slide of the presentation.

I really enjoyed this activity, because I got to create a set-up, and remind myself what it would be like in distance learning.

In this DLO showcased above, I have completed the second activity. In this slideshow, i was required to find out more about the chromebooks keyboard. In the first slide, we needed to put in our name into the keyboard. In the second slide we needed to Move the labels to show the location of these keys on your keyboard. On the third slide we needed to find the shortcuts and put them in the table that was set up for us.

Activity 1: Kawa of Care | Cybersmart

L.I be cybersmart and use our devices to learn, create and share.

In these 3 DLO's above, I have become more familiar with the Kawa Of Care document. In the first two DLO's, i needed to use my knowledge, to complete the requirements that are needed to care for your device, as you can see above. The last DLO, I needed to put in a sensible photo of myself. Around my image shows all of the different things I need to do to respect the Kawa of Care.
