Summer Learning Journey Week 4 - day 5 - Activity 2

We are now on Week 4 - day 5 - Activity 2. This Summer Learning Journey Experience. I have Enjoyed this Experience and has learnt a lot of  things from this Program. I recommend your school to do this Program. I have learnt  about animals plants and also artist. I am excited to be doing this Program Next Year. I f I have missed any Summer Learning Journey Activities I will be sure to go back and do them.

L.I To list three animals and to list three similarities and Difference's
For this Summer Learning Journey Activity we were asked to list three animals. With those animals we were also to list three difference's and three Similarities. All of the things will be listed by numbers.

Animals:

  1. Tiger
  2. Zebra
  3. Okapi

Similarities:

  1. they have patterns
  2. They have Black and white stripped.
  3. all of their ears are at the top of there heads


Differences: 

  1. The tiger have claws but the Zebra and Okapi don't. 
  2. The Zebra has a spike on his head.
  3. The Okapi only has his stripes on his legs.

L.I to List 3 things that can help the earth.
Now we are on Week 4 - Day 5 - Activity 1. This is the day and the first activity. I am glad that my school is apart of the Summer Learning Journey because it has helped me learn more about animals and facts. I would like to participate in the Summer Learning Journey Next Year.

for this Summer Learning Journey Activity we were asked to list three things that could help the earth. Here is the list of the ways and things you can help the earth.


  1. Pick up Rubbish in your Environment.
  2. don't waste things like plastic bags.
  3. Reuse Items.

L.I Blog about how you feel that the Government controlling the number of people that are going to Machu Picchu.
For this Summer Learning Journey we were asked to blog about how we feel about how the government controlling the amount of people going to Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu is a place in the mountain.

My thoughts of the Government doing this is not a right idea. I don't think that this is a good idea because the people that want to go there would be fighting to go there.

Summer Learning Journey Week 4 - Day 4 - Activity 2

L.I tell us what they think about Countdown’s decision to stop using plastic bags.
For this Summer Learning Journey Activity we were asked to ask a friend or parent about their opinion about how Count down has stopped giving free plastic bags. Stores are making people pay for this because these shop's do not want to make the ocean more polluted with plastic bags. Here is My Moms Thought.

Her Thought was that she was happy that Count down is happy that they are not selling Plastic bags. She is happy because if there would be more plastic bags there would be more rubbish and waste.

Summer Learning Journey Week 4 - Day 4 - Activity 1

L.I  tell us which campaign you have chosen to support and provide us with a slogan for that campaign.
For this Summer Learning Journey Activity we were asked to make a slogan from one of the Forest and Birds Campaigns. If you are wondering what a slogan is well it is a phrase. The Campaign that I have used is Sea Lions. I have chosen this because Sea lions are interesting animals.Here is my Phrase.

Summer Learning Journey Week 4 - day 3 - Activity 3

L.I List ten animals or plants that you would protect.
For this Summer Learning Journey Activity we were asked to list ten animals or plants that I would protect. This is connected to Sir David who loved nature. At one of his Interviews he had to list ten animals or plants to protect. The list of mine is five plants and five animals. Here is my list.

Animals:

  1. Bee's
  2. Seals
  3. Dogs
  4. Mules
  5. Octopi
Plants

  1. Algae
  2. Bamboo
  3. Wheat
  4. Bracken Fern
  5. Azolla






Summer Learning Journey Week 4 - day 3 - Activity 2

L.I post three facts that you learned about the Māui Dolphin. Then, using your imagination, create three more statements about Māui dolphins that are not true (i.e. false).

For this Summer Learning Journey Activity we were asked to get three facts about Maui dolphins. Maui Dolphins are species of dolphins. We also had to make three statements that could be false or True. Post your comment and I will give you the results of how many you got right.

Facts:

  • Females grow to 1.7 m long and weigh up to 50 kg. Males are slightly smaller and lighter.
  • Maui dolphins can only live until they are 20 years old.
  • Female Maui dolphin have babies when they are 7-9 years old.
Statement:
  • There are 4 species of Maui Dolphins?
  • They Communicate my Clicks?
  • Maui dolphins eat tuna fish?

Summer Learning Journey Week 4 - Day 3 - Activity 1

L.I is to pick a video was much interesting to you.
For this Summer Learning Journey activity we were asked to pick our favorite video. These videos were put up by the Summer Learning Journey group. My favorite Video was The first one. It was my favorite because he just had a really creative mind of doing things and trapping animals. Here is the Link to Video.


Summer Learning Journey Week 4 - day 2 - activity 3

L.I to pick which project was most interesting.
For this Summer Learning Journey activity we were asked to pick our favorite project that the FFI has done. There were three. I picked the sound one which was fruit frost in Tajikistan. I picked this because this is helpful to the place and really creative of them.

L.I to list 10 veggies or fruits that you would plant.
For this Summer Learning Journey Activity we were asked to list 10 vegetables or fruits that we would plant. I would plant things that I would like to eat daily and would keep me healthy. Here is the list of ten vegetables I would plant and ten fruits I would plant.

Summer Learning Journey Week 4 - Day 2 - Activity 1

L.I to tell how you would feel zip lining in Rotorua.
For this Summer Learning journey Activity we were asked to explain how we would feel if we were able to have the chance to zip line in Rotorua. Rotorua is a part of new Zealand. If I had the chance to zip line in Rotorua I would freak out and be so scared that My hands would be shaking. I would even faint. I am not scared of how high I am but I'm just scared of how little everything is. I would absolutely not like to zip line in Rotorua because something could go wrong like the line could break or I could not be attached to something.

Summer Learning Journey Week 4 - Day 1 - Activity 3

L.I to make a poem about Beijing, China.
For this Summer Learning Journey activity we were asked to make a Poem of how it would be like in Beijing, China. Beijing is a city in china that is popular. Here is my Poem. this was a really hard poem to do.

Air Pollution floating around the air in Beijing

Flights are all closed so as the big busy roads 

can also hear people making some codes


Coughing everywhere in the city

For this Summer Learning Journey activity we were asked to tell weather or not we think the taniwha is real. A Taniwha is a Maori Mythical creature that lives in the sea. Summer Learning Journey Week 4 - Activity 1 - day 1 World of Wearable



L.I to ask five questions.
For this Summer Learning Journey we were asked to make five questions about Dame Suzie Moncrieff. Dame Suzie Moncrieff. is a New Zealand sculptor and arts entrepreneur. She can also be found at a art show. Her sculptor's are really creative and does not look really comfortable. I would like to meet her one day an ask her some of my questions. Here they are.

Summer Learning Journey Week 3 - Day 5 - Activity 3

L.I   write a short story about what happened when you opened the door and walked outside after the acid rain storm.
For this Summer Learning Journey Activity we were asked to write a story about how There was a acid rain and three nights later we go outside to have a walk. To earn the full points we have to make the story has to be 8-10 sentences long.

New Zealand has been drawn out by a massive acid rain for the nights. we covered everything in the house. We were all cuddled up. After the three nights we wanted to see what happened and how everything looked outside. Once we opened the door our eyes glowed up of how  powerful acid rain could be. All the trees look really burnt. we had to where shoes before our feet would have been burn. The worse thing was that the roof of our house was falling of and peeling like a banana. The weird thing was the the grass was brown and dirty. All the wood at the back of my house was into little pieces like treads of paper. all the lights for the road looks burnt. I was so scared at that moment. I thought this was a long dream but I rubbed my eyes and knew that New Zealand was never gonna be the same as before.

For this Summer Learning Journey Activity we were asked to list five things that we would do on Rainy days. On  rainy days I just get cozy and do things that are pretty lazy. Here is the list of things I would do.

for this Summer Learning Journey We were asked to watch a video of air Pollution. In that video it showed facts about Air Pollution.Air Pollution is a mixture of solid particles and gases in the air. When we are finished with the video I have to share three things that I have learnt about Air Pollution. Here are some of the things that I have learnt from the Video.

Summer Learning Journey Week 3 - day 4 - Activity 3

L.I tell us what you see in this image of the clouds and what shape you think it is.
For this summer learning Journey activity there were three pictures of clouds. The photos at the bottom is the images. For this Activity we were asked to tell what shape or what it is we see in the images. We had to pick a image. I picked the second photo. In this photo it is a mustache. I knew it was a mustache because it was really detailed. It was detailed because mustache's start from big and then ends with a wing.




















Summer learning Journey Week 3 - day 4 - activity 2

Long ago in a the village of Maketu lived Mitai and his Seven Brothers. Mitai was the youngest out of his seven brothers. Mitai was raised by his korua from whom he had learnt much magic. Mitai could change form into a bird and he could hear his brothers conversations.He could fly in the sky to the god of wind coming back down through the rainbow. Mitai loved adventure. His brothers were the most handsome boys in the village, but they were not married because they would not settle for anyone else less beautiful than them self. Mitai and his brothers went on a hunt, but when they went onto the hill they heard beautiful singing, so they went to the top of the hill. Once they got there they saw seven beautiful woman singing and combing their hair. All the brothers fell in love but not Mitai. Mitai said that they were Fairy woman but the brothers did not care. The brothers and the fairy woman went back to the village to get married. When they got married the woman just stayed home just singing and combing their hair, the brothers were skinny and weak. Mitai spied on the fairy woman and caught that they got a bird form. So Mitai told them and the korua gave them a magic net to capture the woman. The wives were begging them but they have already been sent to the god of stars so in the sky there are seven stars which are the seven sisters.

L.I to write a summary of Matariki.
For this Summer Learning Journey activity we were asked to watch a movie about the Seven stars . After we watched that video we had to write a summary of what happened n the book. The story is about when the seven brothers go hunting they hear singing. So they go to the top of the hill and see that there is seven beautiful woman. Matai did not like them but all of brothers married the sisters. Mitai spied on them and saw their plan so he told his brothers. The brothers captured them in the magic net and they were sent to the god of stars.

For this summer learning Journey Activity we were asked to make a Acrostic poem using the words "LIGHTS". We also had to make the poem about this photo. here is my Poem. It was easy to do because I have did a poem like this in My writing group last year.

For this Summer Learning Journey activity we were asked to go through a list of flying animals. In that list we had to pick an animal. With that animal we had to make a DLO that included 3 facts. I have also did some extra information.

For this Summer Learning Journey we were asked to share if we had a super power what would it be. The powers that I would have is Telekinesis and Time traveling. I would pick these to because these are both cool and looks pretty useful for something but I would need to train. I would use these powers to stop conflict in the world and stop bad things

L.I Pick a bird that interest's me.
For this Summer Learning Journey Activity we are asked to go onto a website full of birds. With that website full of birds we have to pick a bird that interest's me. The bird I have picked is a White Faced Heron. I picked this because it has a really wavy neck so I would like to learn more about them in my spare time. This bird is found in the mainland on a swampy lake or rivers. This animal eats eat most small aquatic creatures.

For this Summer Learning Journey Activity We were asked to make a list of food that you would put into a Carbon Sink. A carbon Sink is a sink that connects to the sea or forest. Here is the list of food that I would put into a carbon Sink.

Summer Learning Journey Week 3 - Day 2 - Activity 1 Bee Informed

L.I fill in the blanks of the sentences.
For this Summer Learning Journey its about bumblebee's. So the Summer Learning Journey has set up five sentences. There are blanks in the sentences and I have to fill the b;anks with the words,Numbers or phrase's. here are my sentences

Summer Learning Journey Week 3 - Day 2 - Activity 3 Flying Fungi

L.I to solve a math equation.
For this Summer learning Activity we have to solve a math equation. I thought that this equation was hard but then I started to read the whole story and it wasn't that hard. Here is the full story. Let’s imagine that we tested the air in your classroom and found 7 different kinds of mould. Eek! The cleaner says that it takes 5 days for each mould to be eradicated (removed). If the school had to remove each mould one at a time, how long would it take to remove all the mould from the classroom?

here is how I solved it. first what I did was look back at the story. So it says that it takes five days to take away one mould. So I did 7 x 5 which equals 35. To take away all the moulds would take 35 days.

Summer Learning Journey Week 3 - Day 1 - Activity 3

For this Task we were asked to make a graph. I forgot to make a graph so I watched a video of how to make a graph of the hottest temperature of cities.This is what my graph looks like. I was a little creative with the cities.

Summer Learning Journey Week 3 - Day 1 - Activity 2

L.I to List five things how you can protect yourself from the sun.For this task we are asked to List five different things we can do to protect yourself from the sun. I had ten so I had to pick five of them. These are really easy things you can do to Protect you from the sun. I hope these have taught you something.


  • Sun Screen: Wear Sunscreen if you are going to the beach or outdoors. 
  • Hat:If you don't Have Sunscreen use a hat. A hat would be good to wear at school
  • Glasses: Wear glasses if you are going to the beach or swimming because sun glasses will help you protect you from your eyes getting sore.
  • Shade: If you are staying in the sun look for shade because you could get skin Cancer.
  • Clothes: You should wear clothes so that you won't get tan or Skin Cancer.

Summer Learning Journey Week 3 - Activity 1 - Day 1

L.I to tell tourist what season is the best time to come to New Zealand.
We are now at Week 3 Activity 1 Day 1. I forgot to do this yesterday so I will be doing the activities today but not most of it. I am so happy that Panmure Bridge is apart of The Summer Learning Journey Because we get to keep our knowledge up in the summer. I have enjoyed the past few weeks of Activities. I have also learnt a lot of things from this.

The best time I think tourist should is when it is Spring. From September 23 Same date as my birthday to Dec 22. I think that this is the best time to come because the flowers glow up in different colors and because the best place in New Zealand you could go to is Christchurch also named Garden City when it is Spring.

My Christmas Creation


For today I have decided to make a Google draw of Christmas. I went basic. This is a picture I made of a house in the snow. I love Christmas because it is fun to open presents but mainly Because it is Jesus birthday. For Christmas I Didn't get anything but I am happy that I got to spend time with family and friends.

What I did For New Years

Today is new years. It is now 2019. for my goal this year is to Improve in my math and learn all my times tables. At home My goal is to be more responsible and respectful for my parents.

Today what we did for new years was make trifle for my family. We went to my three anti's houses to give them their trifle. 

After we did this we had went to McDonald to eat.When we were there I got bored so I went and played at the park. I took of my shoes so that the park wouldn't get to dirty. When I finished playing at the park we packed all our left over food and went back home. Tonight we are planning to go to the sky tower to see the lights.

I enjoyed hanging out with my whanau and will hope to be the best this year.
