Today I am doing the Summer Learning Journey's Day 3 Activity 1. The Summer Learning Journey is a program that helps children keep track of their learning during the holidays. I am glad that my school is participating because, the school can get more recognition and the students can learn all different sorts of things. My school(Panmure Bridge School) has had a great job with doing the Summer Learning Journey, so we are hoping to have another great year.
For this activity we were asked to imagine that the government had changed Kate Sheppards image on the $10 note and replaced her with another New Zealand Woman. The person that I have chose was Jean Batten.

Jean Batten is certainly a well thought of New Zealander. If you are ever visit Auckland Airport the International terminal is named after her and you can also see her plane.
Hey Sulia! This is a really good DLO, showing information about both people and explaining why you chose Jean Batten. She is a great choice, especially leaving her mark as the best-known New Zealander of the 1930's. Jean has done many great things, almost as iconic as Kate Sheppard. Nice work!
