Morse Code | ANZAC

L.I to learn why the Morse code was created and the purposes of it.

Today I had practised using the morse code for the first time. The Mmorse Code is a particular way, of communicating during 1830 - 1840 ww1 and ww2. it was used to send secret letters to other people so that others wouldn't understand. A Poppy's Life Animation | ANZAC

L.I to learn about the history behind the men who fought in the war.
Today I learnt how to create a animation with two others, which was Fau and Chris. We had created a an animation about a life/growth of a poppy. A poppy is a particular flower that represents the men who fought in the war. On Saturday 24, we were invited to stand outside of our house, near our mailbox at 6pm. This was a moment for us to remember the men and what they had done.

Macca's Level 3 Math Challenge | Maths Daily Challenge

L.I To find the most efficient strategy to solve the maths problem.
Today I have been practising to find the most efficient strategy for me to solve a maths problem. THis Maths Challenge was based on the McDonalds Level 3 Lockdown, that we are going through. In this challenge I had wrote in my book the strategy I used and how I solved it. YOu can read what the pages are about in the first slide and see the strategy I used in the 2.

Billie Eilish | My Favourite Singer

LI: To create a DLO about your favorite singer/rapper.

Today Fau and I have completed another activity. For this activity we had to create a DLO about our favorite singer or rapper, this was a pretty hard decision as we both have a variety of singers we like, but at some point we chose Billie Eilish. Billie Eilish is an 18 yr old american singer/songwriter. Me and Sulia really like her music she makes and especially her. She is one of the people we are inspired by. There were three main points in the presentation - Who is Billie Eilish, Biography of Billie Eilish and Billie Eilishes Music Career. This was a fun and interesting activity. I chose Billie because when I listen to her music I feel like i'm connected to her music and her lyrics have a lot of meanings. her music is also relateable and she just cheers me up when i'm in a bad mood.

Joining Poster | ANZAC

L.I to create a joining poster that will persuade maori men to join the Moari Force.

Today We were practising how to create a joining poster. I enjoyed this activity because i got to see other joinging posters to get ideas from, and they were really interesting. My joining poster was spicifigly for maori men. I also worked with my partner Fau on the designs. Here is what we had created.

Hallenstein Bros | ANZAC

L.I To learn more about the people who fought(ANZAC).
As ANZAC day is approaching, Fau and I have been learning the history behind the men who have fought for our country. FOr this Activity I had learnt about the Hallenstein Bros. I found this interesting because their is a shop called, Hallenstein Bros, I did not know it was based of these NZ men. You can learn more about it in this DLO I have created .

Captain Tom | Pay It Foward

L.I to tell others the incredieble achivement that Captain Tom has achived. 

This is one of our Pay It Foward challenges. It is about Captain Tom. Catptain Tom is a former British army officer, who his currently 99 yrs old(almost turning 100). Tom Poore was born on the 30th of April, 1920. He served in WW2. Before his 100th brithday, he had a walk to battle the Crisis of Corona-virus. He walked 100 laps around his garden and raised more than 15.4 million pounds($19 million). YOu can learn more in this DLO.

Division in Parts | Maths

L.I to use the strategy 'Division in Parts' with larger numbers.
Division in Parts is a Maths Strategy used for 2 or more digit, division equations. Today I had learnt about what division in Parts is. In this video I have explained what it is. I like to use division in parts because it is easier and less complicated to comprehend. You can watch this video to understand what Division in Parts is.

Tane Mahuta | Home Learning

As we are doing Home Learning, we are also exploring Aotearoa. Fau and I had worked collabortaivly to complete one of the Blogging Challenges. Blogging challenges are challenges that are connected places in NZ that you have chosen. Challenges like finding the cost of places, How long it would take etc. The challenge that we had completed was Tana Mahuta. Tana Mahuta is one of the tallest trees in the world. It is located in Aotearoa. It is 51m tall. You can learn more in this slide that we have created.

Leaf Craft/Art | Home Learning

For this activity, we were challenged with our family to create leaf out. Leaf art is easy art that can be used with leafs to create animals or objects. As we went outside to take our walks we also collected leafs. The animals that I have made was A butterfly. Butterflies are insects in the macrolepidopteran clade Rhopalocera from the order Lepidoptera, which also includes moths.

As we are doing Home Learning, we are also exploring Aotearoa. Fau and I had worked collaborativly to complete one of the Blogging Challenges. The Blogging Challenge that we had COmpleted was Te Puia. Blogging Challenges are challenges that are connected to places in NZ that we have chose. Te Puia is an Tourist Atracttion. YOu can go there to learn about the Moari Culture and see the pohutu geyser. It is just a nice place for you and your family to have fun.

As we are doing Home Learning, We are also explorig Aotearoa. I have completed the Waitomo Caves from the Blogging Challenges. Blogging Challenges are challenges connected to places in NZ that you have chosen. Fau and I had worked colaporatively to complete this task. The task that we had chosen was Waitomo Caves.
