PBS Zoo trip

Most classes in Panmure bridge had the opportunity to go to the Auckland Zoo. We had first went with our Instructor.

BE - means Behavioral Enrichment which helps the animals with there skills and play just for fun.

Our first stop was at the Several cats. We were in a high place because the several cats could jump up to three meters.Several cats were mixed up with baby cheetah's because they had the same patterns and spots. they have big ears to hear what is happening around. they can also live up to 12 - 18 years.

Next animal was the Cheetah's. We had walked through a little type of tunnel with glass room where the cheetahs were in. In this room there were plants and trees. Cheetah's can run from 100 km 30s. cheetah's paws help them with a better grip so they can run faster, like rugby shoes. Tail helps with balance when they chase the prey.

We had next gotten onto the next animal which was elephants. Their names Burma who is from Burma and Anjalee who is from Sri Lanka.  For there BE they had sacks that were filled with hay.

Lastly we had gotten onto the Rhinos. We had learnt that their horns were made out of hair and fingernails that is why people always search for them. We had also gotten to feel it. It felt really rocky but smooth.

Mr Wong ( My Teacher) and our group had gotten to explore the whole zoo. We had then met up at the entrance and went back to the school.

I have Enjoyed this trip and experience. I have also learnt different species of and animals and more about them. I would soon like to go to the zoo again.
