Patience | Kiwi Can
L.I to learn how to have patience.
This week in Kiwi Can we are now focusing on the word Patience. Patience means to wait in a polite. For the Energiser we played a game that had to include two people or three. In this game we had to have your right or left hand faced flat upwards and our other hand, put your two fingers on the other persons faced flat palm. Our Activity was hard. It was girls vs boys. We had to put our hands on eachothers shoulders and shake it once Mr Simanu does. When it is the last person in the front of the line they have to run and grab the cone. Girls won Obviously. I've learnt that we have lost our patience even when we don't know. Like on the road, we sometimes get road rage.

Food Print |Business & Enterprise/Supply & Demand
Supply means when you make or get something wanted and is going to sell the product. Demand means a request or command made by someone or how many people want to buy it at the set price. We had a visitor come in and talk about her company and how it started.
Her name is Michal. Michal is the founder of app and business called Foodprint. Michal first worked at a hotel, where they had had served food. She noticed that there was a lot of food wasted and nobody thought anything of it. She traveled a lot to see the damage we are putting into the earth. She decided to change this.
She started a business plan for two years about the app. The hardest part that she had to decide about was her logo and name for the company. Her first three logos looked really similar to other online apps. The name that she had decided on was FoodPrint. She had some help from friends and other.
Six months ago, Michal had finally released the app. It's a app for people to buy food that is 50% off and the food would've have been gone to waste. Michal first talked about how waste can create climate change, and how we can reduce it by using her app. There are 250 cafe's on the app.
I also learnt that each year we waste 1.3 billion tons of food. The food that is mostly wasted is Bread. In New Zealand we waste 20 million pieces of bread each year.
I think that we need more people like Michal, because if we keep on carrying on with wasting food, the future won't be any better.
