Orchestra Trip
Some students from Panmure Bridge School had the opportunity to go to the auckland city to see the orchestra play. An Orchestra is a group of instruments especially one combining string, woodwind, brass, and percussion sections and playing classical music. There were different types of instruments that I didn't know about like a Viola, Cello, Flute, Oboe etc. My favourite instrument was Harp because it added a nice and delightful noise. Their were also aerial dancers so that was pretty cool. It is when people dance on fabric that is connected to the ceiling.
I had enjoyed this awesome experience of going to the orchestra, I would like to go again.

This included 7 things, which is Ideas, Structure and Language , Organization, Vocab, Spelling, Punctuation and Sentence Structure. I had scored myself 28. I think I could have improved in my Vocab and Ideas, by using more descriptive language and explained more.

Their was different strategies like: basic facts, tidy numbers, place value, repeated addition and subtraction, rounding and compensating, written algorithm and Reversing.
How to do Reversing :
For example, I'm trying to solve a subtraction equation like 62 - 49 = ?? and you don't know what it is. From 49 add until you get to 62. That will be your answer

R.E.S.P.E.C.T | Kiwi Can
L.I to have respect for yourself, environment, people, and things.
Respect is having self-discipline, self-control and taking care of yourself. Our theme and Topic for Kiwi Can is Respect and Unique. Unique means having something special that somebody might not have. Our teachers for this week's kiwi can was Mr Simanu and Mr Latu. Our Energiser for this week was Frutti Tutti. In this game Mr Simanu had to say Apple, Orange, or Banana, we had to do the action. It was even harder because we were all standing in a circle so if anybody made a mistake we would all fall over. Our Activity for this week was 1 truth and 1 lie. For this game a person had to tell 1 lie and 1 truth and we had to pick a side for which one we think was real. This game was fun because you got to learn about other people. The most interesting thing I learnt was that Mr O could eat a 6-inch Meatball sub in under 30 seconds.
