Stretching a simple sentence

1.The dog is asleep. [ a simple sentence]
2.The white dog is asleep.[ I added an adjective]
                                     noun
3.The white dog is asleep at the park.[I added where the dog is]
4.The white dog is asleep at the park, and he’s snoring. [ I added a connecting word to make a compound sentence]

1.I like my book.

2.I like my chapter book, and I will read it before I go to sleep.

Today I was learning how to stretch out a simple sentence and make it in to a compound sentence.
