Novel Study | Reading

L.I to do a novel study on a Roald Dahl novel.
This week in Reading we have been reading a Roald Dahl book. I have chosen the book 'The Witches' . This book is about a boy who go to Norway to visit their grandmother but on their way, they crashed. The little boy survived but his parents didn't. He then start to live with his grandmother who knew a lot about witches. She had warned the little boy about those witches.

Orchestra Trip

Some students from Panmure Bridge School had the opportunity to go to the auckland city to see the orchestra play. An Orchestra is a group of instruments especially one combining string, woodwind, brass, and percussion sections and playing classical music. There were different types of instruments that I didn't know about like a Viola, Cello, Flute, Oboe etc. My favourite instrument was Harp because it added a nice and delightful noise. Their were also aerial dancers so that was pretty cool. It is when people dance on fabric that is connected to the ceiling. 

I had enjoyed this awesome experience of going to the orchestra, I would like to go again. 

Unique | Kiwi Can

L.I to respect yourself, our environment and others.
'R.E.S.P.E.C.T, find out what it means to me' Respect is having self-discipline, self-control and taking care of yourself. Unique means having something special that somebody else might not have. He had played some games like Might Vs Wisdom and what you like.

Ataata/Family Tree | Maori

L.I to learn about Te Reo Maori.

This Week in Te reo we had learnt of different ways to greet whanau(Family). For the First activity, we had to watch two videos. In those videos they showed people talking to each other in Maori. The next thing that we had to do was write down the English sentences for the Maori sentences. For the next activity we had to do the same thing but it had to do with a family, for example: 'Ko wai te papa Lisa? The main words that would help us with it was  kuia(Grandmother/old lady), koro(Grandpa/old man), mama(mom), papa(dad)

Maths | Research

LI: To research.

This week for maths we were researching the meaning and function of twenty one words to make a prediction of what we will be studying over the next couple of weeks. We worked in three groups. In my group there were Sione and Sulia. Our prediction was that we were going to study planes but we are actually going to study planes and aerodynamic using paper planes.

SSR Selfie

Today I have decided to do SSR Selfie. SSR Selfie is when you read a book and talk about what the book is about. The book that I have chosen to talk about was 100 facts Science. This book is a  Non-fiction book.
