L.I- Attached to comprehension tasks.
For reading, we are still carrying on with Roald dahl tasks. The task I have chosen to do was Research an Author. In this task we had to find information about the author(Roald Dahl). We had to find information like about his family, what school he attended, when he was born and died and things about his family. He also have books to read. My book is the Witches.

Communication means to show, write, talk etc to say something to somebody. Respect means having Self-discipline, Self-Control and on others and your environment. Our Energizer for Kiwi Can was Number Hands. Our Activity was Musical Cones/Chairs

Ataata | Maori

L.I to learn the language behind Maori.
This week in Maori we have been learning the language of Maori. Today we have Focused on the word Goodbye and why we ask people Where do you come from. Saying 'Where you come from'. For Maori people it is really important to ask that question because it creates a link with that person. We also learnt about why Maori's use Macrons. Macrons are the line on top of the letter.

I have watched Film Festival 2019 - Kolo's Song by Tamaki College. It was about a Boy named Kolo who grew up in Tonga and had realized his talent for singing. You can check is out here LINK.

Paper Plane Wingspan Measurement | Maths

LI: to use statistical and scientific methods to study the effect of wing span and area on lift.

This week in maths we had made paper planes. In our group we had to make paper planes but with different wingspan measurements. The measurements were all in cm. We had used a Google spreadsheet to record the data.

This week for Reading we had picked a book to read. The book I had chosen was The Witches. this book is about this boy that learns all about witches that have the power to destroy the world, but they only focus on destroying children at the moment. We got the choice to choose a task to do. My task was describing a character. The character I chose was Grandmother.
